Fresh off our two most recent shows, check out this version of Big Star's "Thirteen" we performed at the Alex Chilton tribute night at the 201 in Providence on July 9, 2010:

June 16:  Busy tracking four new songs for release in the fall.  Long days, bad jokes, cigs & beers.

April 14:  Vote for our singer, Pip Everett, as Providence's Best Male Vocalist.  Clicking here will take you to the Phoenix website.

April 6:  Taking a short break to incubate some new ideas, but working on a date in late May at the legendary Billy Goode's in Newport, RI.

Many have inquired about when our Patriot Place show will be rescheduled.  We have no updates - but check back obsessively. 

March 24:  Gearing up for our show at the Rosebud this weekend after our St. Patty's show in Providence last Wednesday.  Click on the right to hear our special tribute to Alex Chilton (Box Tops/Big Star), who passed away that day. 

February 17 - Big Ups to everyone who made it out to our Cover Up show and the folks who helped us create a Crazy Horse/CSNY/Last Waltz wall of sound - Dan, Kelly, Will, oh and don't forget the guy sitting in on the broom while we played Harvest Moon.  Yup, that was Brendan Boogie.

January 28 - We're currently in rehearsals for our set of Neil Young songs on February 13.  We can't reveal our whole set*, but rest assured it's going to be a hot night.  (* -  I saw cotton, and I saw black... Tall white mansions, and little shacks.)

January 24 - A sincere thank you to everyone who came out to support RHD at our benefit show at the Blackstone.  Proceeds were excellent, and to support the organization further, please see the RHDRI website.

December 21 - The Blizzard of 78 perform Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas," written by Billy Hayes and Jay Johnson. Filmed at the band's "Book of Lies" album release party at Jake's Bar and Grille in Providence, RI on December 13, 2008. The video features the jolly participants of Santa Stumble Providence 2008, a pub crawl for charity that donates funds to the Good Neighbor Fund of Rhode Island.

December 5 - Come out to a night of rock on December 10 at Church at 69 Kilmarnock St. Boston, MA (www.churchofboston.com).  It's the Eddie Japan CD release party and we go on at 9:00.

November 1 - Part Three of the making of Book of Lies is currently in the works - for parts one and two see the media section.
